Bridger 1.5 Special Very Nice |
9/13/2020 |
I bought some of these to use on Hagz brackets for Muskrats. I added 12 of #2 chain to them. With a little tuning to the pan, I have them setting slightly below the jaw. The nut for the pan is a nylon nut which wont back off. Its easy to set pan tension on these traps. For the money a very good 1.5 trap. Way better then a Duke. |

Best 1.5 DCS on the Market |

Put these on a drowning rig and every muskrat, mink or coon is not getting away. The ability of the pan to lay flat below the jaws with the night latch, along with the swivel makes it an excellent design. Out of a dozen traps, I had to file the bump at the end of the dog a little to get the trap so that it was not trigger happy. Not bad for only having to work on 1 out of 12 trap dogs. |

1.5 Bridger special |

They hit a trpple with the redesign of this trap. I give all the upgrades to this trap an A. But will still give the flimsy trap pan a D |

Bridger 1-1/2 Special |
12/31/2016 |
Like another review says, best out of the box trap. All you have to do is a little filing to remove any rough edge which there arent many, adjust the pan tension to your liking and done! Ive used them on mink, coon and muskrat even caught an otter in one on purpose when rigged on a drowning cable. |

very very impressed with this 1.5 special |
10/21/2016 |
I started trapping 45 years ago and this year I had a first. when I pulled up to check my fox sets I couldnt believe my eyes, the bridger 1.5 specials I set were holding two 60 lb bear cubs one front foot and one hind foot catch. theres no doubt these traps will hold any coon ,fox ,or coyote here in northern wis. I got these traps as a free gift when I started buying from MTP. I will be buying more of these traps !! |

good for the price |

The trap is good for the price, the pan takes a little getting used to and i would upgrade the swivel to a mb crunch proof but its a good trap all things considered. |

BRIDGER #1.5 --- FOUNDATION OF MY HARDWARE. |
11/22/2015 |
#1.5 Traps are the multi-species traps I use most when it comes to filling the fur shed. Fox, coon, and muskrats beware!!! The BRIDGER design has night latch dogs putting their design ahead of the competition. Hard to beat either the value or the quality. Rest assured you cant beat both... If your in need of #1.5s as with most other traps from BRIDGER, you cant go wrong here. |

1.5 special works hard |
1/4/2015 |
Ive run em 2 yrs for fox ive held em no problems same traps reset at same set cought 5 foxes and a bobcat the cat bent the dog some but hey that happens. Strength is better than a duke #3 well worth the money you wont be disappointed. Only step up is the mb 450 or mb 550 this trap is a we bit smaller size than the 550s |

good trap but needs a few changes |

The pans bend when you catch a coon. Also I dislike how the dog and pan come together. Its really hard to get the pan to sit flat. I wish it was a normal dog then the pan was notched like most. |

Paws down best 1.5 on the market |
3/16/2014 |
I have 3 dozen of these and I am buying more. I never lost a coon all season and several were 30lbs and up. Great for mink as well. All my water traps will be switched over to them by next fall. Very strong! |

1.5 specials by wisconsin trapper |
1/7/2014 |
Ordered 18 of these traps. I opened the box and was pretty happy with what I found. The inside and outside of the jaw where sheared prior to forming were de-edged which was very nice. These traps are pretty strong especially compared to duke traps! Not as strong as MB-550 traps but excellent for the price. They held my neighbors cats all the way to big Wisconsin raccoon. I caught two red fox and a gray on these. The pan is easily bent back to original shape by placing a stick under it by the pan bolt and then pressing on the end of the pan. It does seem that if the trap is pounded that the jaw will deform, but that is fixable. Overall they are great value traps but not anywhere nearly built as good as a MB-550 offset cast jaw. But then again, you can buy 30 of these for the same price of a dozen MB-550s. Great trap though!!! |

Now this is a coon trap you can pass down to your son. It is heavy and you can tell was built by trappers. And best of all its affordable! |

Used right out of the box for muskrats last winter. After using them for a couple of months, I sold all the other #1.5s I had and bought 3 dozen more. Great trap!! |
