The first year of using MB-650s I started out setting by standing on the springs. Not impossible but not an easy task especially in mud or on uneven surfaces. Later I purchased this setter and it makes it a breeze with one hand holding the setter with the trap springs depressed and the other hand free to set the pan to nightlatch position. Standing, kneeling or whatever position you prefer is a easy and safe.

They should make a video and put it on youtube. I believe every one would own one of these setters. This is the best and easiest setter I ever used. Too bad they didnt have something like this 40 years ago. Setting a 650 is a snap. I think a 12 year old kid could set a 650 with no problem. No more bending down in the snow to set traps. This is one Great setter and some of the best built traps Ive ever bought.

These make setting 650s extremely easy. After using these the first time I cant believe I ever intended to set 650s by stepping on the springs, and setting them by hands on your leg is almost impossible. I would say these are a borderline must with the purchase of a dozen MB650-s.

simple, but very effective!
Setting 650s is a breeze with these setters! Like mentioned, once you engage it, hold the setters and trap in one hand, and set pan with free hand!

A Must Have for MB-650
Bought some MB-650 traps to try out and there is just about no way your going to set a MB-650 easier, you can use one hand to hold the Trap open and use the other hand to set the Night Latch.

MB 650 Trap Setter
Better than using your feet and easier on the hands, you wont regret purchasing these.
