Quick Kill for 60lb Beaver |
4/20/2021 |
Killed a 60lb beaver on my first day ever trapping. By the looks of things, it was a very quick end. Id heard that they were difficult to set but I thought my brother and I could muscle through it and figure it out, that was a mistake. We almost gave up but after 10 minutes, we finally got it in place by stepping on each spring in two places while my brother slid the safety into place. Definitely recommend you invest in a setter. I also recommend that you treat this trap like a firearm. The power of this thing is terrifying. Keep fingers, toes, etc away from the jaws. |

Just purchased three of these traps after trapping enough before to buy them. Went and set them that night straight out of the box and picked up two beaver. Checked the next day and picked up two more. I love the safety design on these and the power is amazing. |

There is nothing that can be said about this trap that hasnt already been said. The only time I use Dukes or Bridgers are when I think the traps may get stolen. Belisles are the best. Had good luck with these holding the catches 100% on otter and beaver, both in 280 and 330. |

You are not going to find a better trap than this for beaver. In my opinion it is worth the spendy price. A very quality product. |

Wicked 330 |

This trap deserves a lot of respect!!! 50# beaver are no match for this enforcer. Belisle makes a well constructed piece of equipment, they are without a doubt worth the extra price. Waiting to try out some 280 grips as well |

Holds great |

Caught and held a large beaver by a front foot in a 330. If the Belisle closes on them anywhere they will be there when you get there! |

Great traps |

Ive gone totally to Belisles because they are the strongest, tightest, best safety clips and hold odd catches by the foot, tail or whatever. They cost more but are worth it. |

True magnum jaws, safeties that are safe |

Definitely spendy traps, but I recommend for anyone, even beginners. I caught my first ever beaver in a belisle 330 - by the front foot. Im still learning, but I took home that 54lb beaver that otherwise would now be trap shy. Also great safeties, perfect for a novice. |

Best trap-330. |
2/18/2016 |
The best 330 out there! I have caught otters and beavers by the tail. Muskrat by the tail base and a rear foot. Also caught nutria by pinched skin as it tried to turn and leave the run. Extremely strong springs and stays set in fast water. Basically never catch otters by the hips because it trips so fast. Most of the time the set fencing is still there because the animal is killed so fast and cant move much. Only complaint is that bigger dia. stabilizer rods dont fit well because the jaws are compressed so tight, but I just use the smaller ones. Worth the money to me. |

belisle 330 |

Strong enough to dispatch even the biggest beaver with no struggle effectively eliminating any damage to the guard hair and fur, this will pay for the extra cost of this trap with the first pelt caught. |

Belisle 330 |
9/15/2014 |
I am not a famous trapper whose opinion is followed by anyone but myself, but the Belisle brand of traps that I have used are the best I have been able to find. They are very strong, close super tight, have the best safety on the market, and as the prior review says will hold anything that trips them. I have caught several beaver by a foot and one by the last two inches of the tail. There are cheaper traps that you can spend your time figuring how they missed, or you can spend your time with these figuing out how they were caught that way.. One improvement would be if the trigger could be improved for all conibear style traps so they werent so fragile and lasted longer |

Superb! |

What triggers a belisle stays in a belisle. Its amazing how many beaver end up tripping a bodygripper with a hind foot or tail. Belisles will hold these catches. No more square shy beaver- they dont get the chance. Proper anchoring is a must as you may have a live one held by an extremity. Oh, and keep your hands out! Love the stay put safeties. |
