| I have been trapping muskrats since the mid 50s. Back then I bought my traps/supplies at the local hardware store. No other outlets around. Tims Hardware carried Victor #1 and 1.5 long springs period. When using those traps for Muskrats, if the rat didnt make it to deep water and drown you generally had a wring off or foot in your trap. Not good!
In time I was introduced to the Victor #1 stoploss by a mentor and the wring-offs simply stopped forever. Since then, I have used the Victor #1 stoploss exclusively for rats when a #110 conibear will not do. Also, During this time I have found them to be an excellent mink and very good coon trap as well.
I highly recommend them to all trappers. |
