BrandSpeed Dip

 Detailed Description

Andy Stoe's Speed Dip has been formulated to put a protective film on any steel trap. This protective film puts a hard protective coat on the trap to keep it from rusting. Depending on humidity the dip will dry in 2 - 3 days. It is suggested that you do this on days with low humidity and dip the traps 1-2 months in advance if you are using them for landy trapping. This will give the gas odor a chance to disapate before making your trapping sets. For rubber jawed traps it is recommended that you remove the rubber pads before dipping as it softens rubber.

How to use Andy Stoe's Speed Dip to dip my traps
Mix 1 quart of Speed Dip to 1 gallon of Coleman fuel or mineral spirits.Put mix the solution in a bucket. Dip your traps a into the solution, make sure they are evenly coated, remove the traps, and hang to dry.

Great product! Time friendly compared to boiling traps in crystals.

Worst thing you can do to your traps! 12/5/2017
I thought I would save a lot of time by using this product. Wrong!! Followed the directions exactly, even dipped traps 2 months prior to trapping season, the week before trapping season the dip was like thick tar on the traps, well I had to wax them yet so went ahead and waxed them ruined my wax with the tar smell all my coyote traps I set with this on have been dug up and never caught a coyote with a trap with this stuff on it. It is however a nightmare to get it off of traps once it is on. I have now gone back to Logwood crystals and bought new traps.

If you do it right, the only way to go for canines! 6/21/2016
I have been trapping for 38 years now, dyed and waxed for 20 years, so for 18 years now I have been using Speed Dip and will never go back to dye and wax.

very good stuff. makes trap prep way easier than boiling. not too waxy, which means less pinched fingers. always good color
