The Dirt Hole Punch is the quick way to make a dirt hole. Simply pound the Dirt Hole Punch into the ground with your trapline hammer, and twist it back out using the handles. A perfect 1 1/2" hole. Works well in many different soil conditions.
Great tool. Make sure you clean up the ends of the handles - they are sharp and will cut you.

Overall it is a great tool but it is a good idea to have a spare. The punch bends easy or the top is beaten out, wished it was made of a little heavier metal. I plan on keeping one handy at all times.

So far I have punched maybe 100 holes with this in ground ranging from pastures, ditches, and wheat fields. The top is mushrooming and slightly bending, but the main body is straight and is still functional. This tool has saved me a lot of time so far and it makes nice deep holes and keeps them from caving in. Without a doubt it has helped me improve my catch by keeping my bait down deep making the yote work for it, and so far this year no dig outs from the side, again I think because the depth of the hole that I am achieving. Once things freeze up solid I wont be able to use this.

This is done great if the ground isnt frozen it bends easy if you are not careful. This is the tool if you are tied of your holes caving in
